Police Columbia Association of Westchester - Meeting at 7:00pm Wednesday April 25, 2012 at Casa Rina 886 Commerce St. Thornwood, NY

We celebrated the culmination of Holy Week with Easter on April 8. Hopefully you all enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Last month we were fortunate to attend the 28th Annual Dinner dance of the Founding of the Salerno Club of the State of New York in Honor of St Joseph at the Riverview Restaurant.
Thanks to our member Joseph Cammarota, Chairman and Founder for providing a fun evening with the outstanding and world renown Tenor, Giuseppe Taormina.
This month members will be attending a retirement luncheon in Honor of Professor Carlo Sclafani who is the Founder of the Westchester Coalition of Italian American Organizations. Unfortunately, the WCIAO is currently dormant due to the retirement and lack of funding.
Our members will also be attending the National Police Defense Foundation Dinner at Russo's in Howard Beach.
Last but not least we also made a donation to the NYPD Holy name Society.
Looking forward to seeing you all at our next meeting.

Police Columbia Assoc. of Westchester meeting on Wednesday 7:00pm Feb. 29, 2012 at Casa Rina 886 Commerce St. Thornwood, NY

As we all know 2012 is a Leap Year and ironically our next meeting falls right on that extra day! Julius Caesar always seems to get the credit for inventing Leap Year but it was actually his astronomer, Sosigenes who did, which makes more sense.
We've certainly lucked-out with the relatively mild Winter that we've experienced so far. Consider the fact that last year we had two snow storms per week for six weeks! It was a beautiful day for welcoming home the SuperBowl XLVI Champion Giants and watching the Hero's Parade in Manhattan. Congratulations G-Men!!!!
and.... February 22 kicks off our Easter season with Ash Wednesday... time flies. Seems as if it was Christmas just a minute ago!
Hope to see you at our next meeting because ALL of our members are important to our success!
                      Buongiorno,
                         Bob Mazzei, Sr.- President
